We've been dealing with a diy minisplit install at work that has been a real PITA and frustrates me even more with diy products. Then some poor sap buys the house where all this diy work was done and inherits a nightmare. My problem with a lot of these products is that yes they work out of the box but I've seen even copper crack under the stress and abuse that a heat pump creates. To me there's too high of a probability that orings will fail after a period of time. A properly brazed joint can outlive a human. If there's a situation where you simply cannot use a torch then maybe it's ok, but imho a professional tradesmen should avoid using sharkbites on a refrigerant line.
